The Fort Worth Park & Recreation Department recognizes the dedicated volunteers who contribute to the beauty and functionality of green spaces and recreational facilities.

Among these remarkable individuals and organizations:

  • Bill Collins, whose unwavering commitment has spanned more than 40 years at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge.
  • Alex Hernandez has dedicated more than two decades to youth sports, leaving a lasting impact on countless young athletes.
  • In 2023, Steve Clouse contributed more than 175 hours of service at the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge, embodying the spirit of volunteerism.
  • Castleberry ISD has been a valued partner of the Forestry Division since 2005. High school students and staff from Castleberry ISD have participated in various projects, including the tree growing process at the City's tree farm and planting initiatives at Trinity Park and Bobo Woods. Not only does this partnership provide valuable socialization and job skills for students, but it also fosters a sense of environmental stewardship and pride in their community.

The Park & Recreation Volunteer Program offers opportunities for people of all ages and interests to get involved and make a meaningful impact.
