Collegiate Farm Bureau members from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln engaged in policy discussions at Vala's Pumpkin Patch. Members were able to share in fellowship while also learning about the policy development process and agritourism.

Students were able to visit with Andrew Dunkley, director of state legislative affairs for Nebraska Farm Bureau, and Tim Vala, owner of Vala's Pumpkin Patch, during their visit.

"We were able to really dive into conversations about how policy is developed," said Abby Streff, UNL Collegiate Farm Bureau president. "Hearing how the grassroot movement works to initiate policy and then see how the results directly impact members, like Tim Vala, is really cool."

Collegiate Farm Bureau members were also able to enjoy the fall festivities at Vala's during the event.
