Update Regarding the Ongoing Network Disruption

On March 6, 2024, the city observed unexpected activity within our network that disrupted the operability of certain computer systems. Upon learning of the unexpected activity, we took steps to confirm the security of our network. We are working to restore full functionality to our systems as soon as possible.

The city also separately began an investigation to understand the nature and scope of the activity. We have been working with third-party specialists to investigate the source of this activity and to understand the impact on our systems and any potential impact to data. This process is ongoing; however, based on the investigation thus far, we understand that an unknown third party gained access to our systems for a period of time.

We have remained open and serving the public. Critical public safety and public works services have been uninterrupted.
