Special Envoy Eileen Donahoe Leads U.S. Delegation to NETMundial+10 in São Paulo, Brazil

Dr. Eileen C. Donahoe, the State Department's Special Envoy and Coordinator for Digital Freedom in the Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy, will travel to São Paulo, Brazil, April 29-May 1, to lead the United States Delegation to the NETMundial+10 meeting and participate in a G20 side event on promoting information integrity.

Special Envoy Donahoe will underscore the U.S. commitment to engaging with governments, civil society, the technical community, private sector, academia, and international organizations to support multistakeholder Internet governance. She will also speak on advancing a global response to tackle the information integrity challenge in ways that are consistent with democratic values and international human rights law, especially freedom of expression, as outlined in the Democratic Roadmap: Building Civic Resilience to the Global Digital Information Manipulation Challenge.

Special Envoy Donahoe will emphasize U.S. support for Brazil's G20 presidency and the year-long commemorations for the bicentennial of diplomatic relations between Brazil and the United States.
