Carlson Library Hosting Second Annual Anime Festival March 14

Carlson Library is hosting their second annual Anime Festival on Thursday, March 14, in the Main Event Space on the first floor of the library.

This year's lineup:

• 11 a.m. - "Mob Psycho 100." Shigeo Kageyama is a powerful psychic - and also a quiet and friendless middle school student who keeps his emotions at bay so his psychic powers don't grow out of control. Under the tutelage of a con man pretending to be a psychic himself, Shigeo grows as a person, but there are psychic enemies who are threatening his town and his family that only he is strong enough to confront.

• 11:30 a.m. - "Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood." Alchemist Edward Elric and his brother, Alphonse, search for the Philosopher's Stone, a powerful and mysterious alchemical substance, to recover the bodies they lost in an alchemical transmutation gone wrong.

• Noon - "Skip and Loafer." Mitsumi is a small-town girl with big dreams who moves to Tokyo to attend high school. Navigating classes and after-school activities is one thing, but navigating new friendships and romance is an even bigger challenge.

• 12:30 p.m. - "Millennium Actress." Two documentary filmmakers interview a retired legendary actress who has become a recluse. As she tells them about her life, the borders between the present, the past, reality and film begin to blur.
