Daily Summary for the 2024 Fiscal Session for Tuesday, April 23

On Tuesday, the Joint Budget Personnel Subcommittee adopted an amendment for SB77 and advanced the amended version of the bill. SB77 outlines the temporary pay plan for state employees. The amendment adopted today adds specific requirements for special compensation. This bill now heads to the Joint Budget Committee.

The full House adopted an amendment to HB1012 which adds 50 corporal positions for Arkansas State Police and adds 2 positions at the State Crime Lab.

The House advanced several appropriations including a $4 million supplemental appropriation for the Medicaid Reimbursement Program of the Department of Education. This program helps support funding for school nurses.
