04/18/2024

King of Prussia, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that PECO Energy will be performing utility construction on two state highways in Chester and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Chester County
  • Monday, April 22, through Friday, June 28, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on Route 724 (New Schuylkill Road) between Linfield Road and Reitnour Road in East Coventry and East Vincent townships.
Montgomery County
  • Monday, April 22, through Friday, July 19, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a weekday lane closure is scheduled on Sandy Hill Road at the intersection with Marshall Street in Norristown Borough.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

PECO Energy will complete these projects under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.

Motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting www.511PA.com. 511PA, which is free and available 24 hours a day, provides traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to more than 1,000 traffic cameras. 511PA is also available through a smartphone application for iPhone and Android devices, by calling 5-1-1, or by following regional X alerts.
