NovemBARD

For many of us, our schedule is getting busier as we head into this holiday season, but mail is slowing down due to the increased volume of holiday mail. If you are tired of waiting on your book cartridges to get to you through the mail, your best option, developed especially for talking books patrons, is BARD. It is a great download service we love that's available to all our patrons. It enables you to have access anytime to almost all of the books and magazines in our collection. Patrons can download books and/or magazines from the website to a flash drive to use in the player, or directly to a mobile device using the BARD Mobile app.

With BARD, there…is…no…waiting. That's fantastic! You don't have to wait on the mail to start your next read. The little waiting you might have is the time it takes for a book to download, which is minimal at best. You have over 125,000 books available at the tips of your fingers. There's no getting out in cold weather with BARD; you can stay snuggled up in your warm house, with a warm blanket and a cup of your favorite hot beverage. BARD is always accessible (other than for required maintenance), during the day, the middle of the night, or when our office is closed during holidays or inclement weather.

You're never out of books if you have BARD. Read what you want, when you want. Sign up for BARD today to always be in books! Visit https://nlsbard.loc.gov for more information.
