Halsie Barnes jersey retirement ceremony planned for April 27

As a part of 2024 Pay it Forward (PIF) Week, a jersey retirement ceremony will be held for former student-athlete and Spartan first baseman Halsie Barnes of Tingley.

• 12 p.m. - Lunch, Spartan softball field
• 12:30 p.m. - Halsie Barnes jersey retirement ceremony
• 1 & 3 p.m. - Spartan softball vs Southeastern

Barnes, Ella Leonard, and Maddie Stewart, all SWCC student-athletes, sustained fatal injuries in a car accident on Friday, July 21, near Afton.
