TAC Salary Survey Enters Home Stretch

The 2024 TAC Salary Survey is entering the home stretch - we are almost ready to share the results with county officials. We have collected data from 218 counties as of April 22 and need data from a few more before we publish the results. On April 22, we emailed the 36 counties that have not yet responded, as shown in the accompanying map, one final time to provide an opportunity for inclusion in this important statewide report.

In the email, we attached a copy of the 2024 survey form, which can be returned to TAC by email.

The survey data is important to many county officials who can use the information as a helpful comparison and reference tool.

In addition to publishing the complete 2024 salary data in a PDF report, we will also publish a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that contains the base salary, population and budget data for the offices in each responding county. Consequently, interested parties will be able to sort and group the counties in the spreadsheet to better understand how salaries compare across the state.

The 2022 Salary Survey report is currently available in both formats on TAC's website. Once we receive sufficient responses, TAC will publish both 2024 TAC Salary Survey reports on the same webpage.

The webpage includes a list of edits that we incorporated into the published 2022 PDF and spreadsheet. However, these edits were included after hard copies were printed and mailed to the responding offices - they are listed here so the complete information is available to everyone.
