OneAgent release notes version 1.215

Rollout starts April 29, 2021

With this release, the oldest supported OneAgent versions are:

Update of Dynatrace communication endpoints

The domain used for internal communication by OneAgents and ActiveGates that send data to Dynatrace SaaS will be switched from to beginning June 30, 2021.

This change will only affect Dynatrace SaaS customers, and only if you:

• Use domain allowlisting on your outbound proxy, or
• Use AWS PrivateLink to connect your OneAgents to Dynatrace

• Added support for OpenTelemetry 0.18.0
• Added support for Go 1.16 for Linux, Alpine Linux 64-bit (x86), Windows (x86)

• Fixed code module injection issue for IBM App Connect Enterprise in some scenarios when an `overrides/server.conf.yaml` is used. (ONE-56028)

• Fixed issue that could lead to OneAgent service crashes on some Linux systems. (ONE-57642)

Cluster

• If time is changed more than 10 minutes into the future, Remote Plugin Module and Plugin Agent are restarted to avoid `Timestamp Too Far In The Future` time series rejection. (APM-288059)

General

• Vulnerability: Upgraded to OpenSSL 1.1.1j to resolve vulnerabilities. (APM-285108)
• Fixed issue in Remote Plugin Module in which it was impossible to set a custom port for communication with ActiveGate. (APM-296066)
• Resolved issue causing message 'Deep process monitoring manually disabled' to be displayed in Monitoring overview on AIX hosts, even though monitoring was enabled, if a custom installation path was used. (APM-288024)

Infrastructure Monitoring

• Remote Plugin Module no longer crashes if it has no rights to custom plugins folders. (APM-291026)
• StatsD no longer inherits 14499 listening port (Linux-only issue). (APM-284960)

Mainframe

• Improved handling of zRemote basic settings to prevent problems from incorrect user settings. (ONE-57586)
• Improved logging for LPAR metrics provider. (ONE-57011)
• The zDC is no longer allowed to connect if zRemote has not connected successfully with a cluster. (ONE-57999)
• Resolved an issue in which the SMFID and LPAR name were incorrect for OneAgent Java module on z/OS. (ONE-57542)
• Resolved issue that caused OneAgent CICS and IMS code modules to be unable to connect after a zDC-zRemote reconnect. (ONE-57012)

OneAgent Installer

• The OneAgent Windows installer checks for the existence of the partition root of a path provided via INSTALL_PATH, LOG_PATH, or DATA_STORAGE parameters. (APM-289723)

OpenTracing Java

• Resolved issue in which OneAgent Java code module on z/OS sometimes did not reconnect. (ONE-56687)
• Resolved an issue in which the z/OS Java module sometimes did not reconnect with the cluster if a disconnect occurred between the Java module, the zDC, and/or the zRemote. (ONE-56846)
• Fixed an issue in which certain metrics on z/OS were not sent until JVM restart when certain connection problems occurred. (ONE-56281)

OS module

• Resolved issue causing OneAgent OS module crash during shutdown. (APM-289309)

Webserver core

• Resolved an issue in which the OneAgent Apache module calculated the `cputimeSelftime` metric incorrectly. (ONE-57895)
• Fixed an issue in the OneAgent Envoy module that caused a malformed configuration preventing start up. (ONE-57301)
