Pascrell Welcomes Peru’s Ambassador to the United States (Español)

WASHINGTON, DC - Congressman Bill Pascrell, Jr. (D-NJ-09) recently met with the Peruvian Ambassador to the United States Gustavo Meza-Cuadra to discuss the US-Peru relationship and Peru's invaluable contributions to New Jersey and America.

"Our beautiful North Jersey district is a kaleidoscope of cultures and we are blessed with one of the largest Peruvian American communities in our entire country," said Congressman Pascrell. "So I was delighted to welcome Peru's Ambassador to the United States, Gustavo Meza-Cuadra, to our office. We had a rich conversation on ways to continue building America's strong relationship with Peru and need to support democratic principles and institutions, respecting human rights, and accountability for its violators. We also had a great exchange on New Jersey's terrific Peruvian American community and their business, cultural and culinary contributions to our state. I told the Ambassador that I am happy to welcome him back to the Garden State and a walk through Little Lima anytime."
