UAE President awards Medal of Independence of First Order to Former Ambassador of Brazil

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, awarded His Excellency Fernando Igreja, former Ambassador of Brazil to the UAE, the Medal of Independence of the First Order in recognition of his efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries in all fields.

His Excellency Saleh Ahmed Al Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to the Federative Republic of Brazil, presented the medal to His Excellency Igreja during a reception held in his honor. His Excellency Igreja is currently serving as the Chief of Protocol at the Brazilian Presidential Palace.

His Excellency Al Suwaidi praised the contributions of His Excellency Igreja to the development of UAE-Brazil ties and bilateral cooperation during his many years of service in the country.

For his part, His Excellency Igreja reiterated his pride at receiving this medal, which reflects the depth of bilateral relations and cooperation. His Excellency also noted that Brazil continues to seek close cooperation with the UAE to serve the peoples of both countries.

His Excellency expressed his deep appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President, and praised the policies of His Highness, as well as His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai.

His Excellency concluded by thanking the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and all UAE government entities for their cooperation, which contributed to the success of his mission in bolstering relations between the two countries.
