Igor Makovskiy took part in the All-Russian ESG Forum in Nizhny Novgorod

Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga Region, PJSC, met with representatives of the regional government, science and the expert community at the site of the All-Russian ESG Forum "SO.KNOWLEDGE" in Nizhny Novgorod.

The head of the Companies emphasized that the association of state institutions with companies that implement the initiatives necessary for the transition to sustainable development will help in solving priority tasks for the further development of the electric grid complex, improving the investment climate in the Russian regions and, most importantly, increasing the quality of life of people.

"Events of this scale help to unite the efforts of power engineers and government officials for the widespread implementation of the principles of sustainable development - a responsible attitude to the environment, high social responsibility, as well as an increase in the quality of corporate governance. Along with our main task of improving the reliability and efficiency of the power grid complex, we are actively developing these principles in the company and are ready to share our experience," stressed Igor Makovskiy, General Director of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Centre and Volga region.

As a reminder, Rosseti Centre, PJSC and Rosseti Centre and Volga region, PJSC regularly become leaders in the ESG ratings of Russian companies in such categories as social responsibility, social efficiency and environmental care. So recently, Rosseti Centre was recognized as the leader in ESG transparency among the largest Russian grid companies according to the results of the ranking of Expert RA "ESG transparency of Russian companies", gaining 1.75 points out of 2 possible in the overall rating of all industries. In addition, according to the results of a study on revenue conducted among the 300 largest Russian companies, the reporting of the companies for 2021 received a RESG 2 rating - High level of information disclosure on sustainable development.
