Experts and more than 500 employees from the six countries where ISA is present, meet to address and propose solutions to the challenges of the energy transition

The Knowledge and Innovation Days are a continuous process of knowledge management, and the most relevant event of ISA and its companies in Latin America, which every two years brings together more than 1,500* people including employees, leaders, and experts worldwide in energy transition and infrastructure.

This practice has been promoted for more than 20 years; more than 4,000 projects have been presented with which the company has anticipated the use of technologies currently required by the energy transition, such as, for example:

  • Implementation of devices based on power electronics to optimize and make better use of the existing infrastructure.
  • Use of existing line corridors to mitigate social and environmental impacts in the areas where we have influence.
  • Being pioneers in the installation of digital substations in Colombia and Peru, which has generated optimizations in the construction of civil works and compliance with high standards of service quality.

"Energy transition is the big topic of discussion, it's the conversation of the future. From ISA we are called to be an integrator with an active role in this process, and in this scenario, we assume a leadership of greater dialogue and visibility for society with practices like this, which allow us to maintain the validity of business and create synergies for the sector," said Gabriel Melguizo, ISA's Interim CEO:

New challenges, more opportunities: be part of the transition!

In each country where ISA is present, the energy transition is a process that is moving at its own pace and with concrete actions. As the main energy transmission company in the region, the company seeks to ensure resilient infrastructure in all its countries, reduce impacts on communities and the environment to a minimum, ensure infrastructure that generates greater social and economic opportunities for all, promote effective, open, and constructive social dialogue among stakeholders, and contribute, in a clear and measurable way, to climate change mitigation.

"Collaboration between individuals, organizations and governments is critical to achieving a sustainable and efficient energy future. This joint effort seeks innovations and strategies that will ensure a promising path to energy sustainability," reflects Andrew Phillips, Vice President of Transmission and Distribution at EPRI (Electric Power research Institute) and guest speaker at the event.
