The Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates, Mr. Nasser Bourita received, on May 21, 2024 in Rabat, the President of the Swiss National Council, Mr. Eric Nussbaumer.

The President of the Swiss National Council, Mr. Eric Nussbaumer, expressed his country's support for a "just, lasting and mutually acceptable" political solution to the regional conflict over the Moroccan Sahara.

In a press declaration, Mr. Nussbaumer pointed out that Switzerland supports the efforts of the United Nations and the work of the UN Secretary-General's Personal Envoy for the Sahara, Mr. Staffan de Mistura, to achieve a just, lasting and mutually acceptable political solution in accordance with international law and the relevant Security Council resolutions.
