Chinese Consul General in Brisbane Ruan Zongze Attends Australia Day & Chinese New Year Gala Concert

On 26 January 2025, Chinese Consul-General in Brisbane Dr RUAN Zongze was invited to attend and address the 2025 Australia Day & Chinese New Year Gala Concert, which was held by Australia Beijing Business and Arts Council.

Dr Ruan extended Chinese New Year greetings to the guests. He said, the Spring Festival is a time for celebration, not only in China but across the globe. It has increasingly become a colorful addition to Queensland's multicultural fabric. Over the past year, China-Australia relations have achieved comprehensive turnaround and fruitful results. All sectors of China and Queensland are optimistic about the potential of bilateral cooperation. China has announced the extension of the visa-free stay period to 30 days, and I warmly invite all of you to visit China with your families and friends.

The Treasurer of Australia, Hon Dr Jim Chalmers MP, Members of Queensland Parliament Mr Peter Russo MP, Mr James Martin MP and President of Queensland Chinese United Council Mr Michael Ma attended and delivered speeches.
