HMSA’s Kauai office is relocating to new HMSA Center in Lihue

HONOLULU - Hawai'i Medical Service Association is opening a new HMSA Center in the Kuhio Medical Center on Monday, Oct. 9. The HMSA Center in Lihue, located at 3-3295 Kuhio Highway, Suite 202, will be better able to serve and accommodate Kauai residents and members. HMSA's current Kauai office at 4366 Kukui Grove St. will close on Saturday, Oct. 7.

The new HMSA Center in Lihue will allow members to meet with friendly, local health plan experts to buy a plan, get information about their existing health plan or claims, learn about planning for retirement, or get answers about Medicare plans. The location on the second floor of the Kuhio Medical Center will also allow HMSA to provide on-site health education classes, Medicare planning workshops, and other resources to help Kauai residents support their health and well-being.

"HMSA is the only health plan in Hawaii offering in-person support at convenient locations statewide. We look forward to continuing to provide Kauai residents with the friendly and personalized customer service our members have come to expect from us," said HMSA President and Chief Executive Officer Mark M. Mugiishi, M.D., F.A.C.S. "The new neighborhood center in Lihue is part of our ongoing commitment to serve communities across the state. It's especially exciting for us as we celebrate 85 years of caring for the health and well-being of Hawaii."

HMSA Kauai members can visit the HMSA Center in Lihue, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Team HMSA health plan experts are also able to help members find a doctor, pay their HMSA bill, and more. Walk-ins are welcome and no appointment is necessary.
