New Brussels office for CDP, Autostrade per l’Italia, Italgas, Nexi, Open Fiber, Snam and the public company PagoPA

The expansion of the activities will result in stronger bilateral relations with European institutions and companies

The new location will facilitate systemic initiatives on key issues for Italy in terms of sustainable development

Brussels, 7 June 2023. - Today in Brussels marked the inauguration, at the presence of Federica Favi, Ambassador of Italy to the Kingdom of Belgium, of the new European representative office, which will host the delegations of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, of several CDP Group's companies and of PagoPA.

The event was attended by: Giovanni Gorno Tempini and Dario Scannapieco, respectively Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of CDP; Elisabetta Oliveri, Chairwoman of Autostrade per l'Italia; Monica de Virgiliis, Chairwoman of Snam; Paolo Gallo, Chief Executive Officer, of Italgas; Renato Martini, Executive Committee Member of NEXI; Francesco Nonno, Director of Regulatory and European Affairs at Open Fiber and Alessandro Moricca, Executive Director of PagoPA.

The new office will allow a significant consolidation of the European operations of the companies involved, facilitating joint work on key issues for Italy's sustainable economic, social, and infrastructural development. The expansion of the activities in Brussels will therefore lead to a consolidation of bilateral relations with the leading counterpart institutions and companies, in a context where collaboration and ongoing dialogue with European counterparts play an increasingly central role in achieving the country's strategic objectives, while at the same time strengthening relations with the European peers of the CDP Group and the companies involved.

The objectives of the new structure include continuous coordination with all the entities represented for the possible evaluation of joint proposals and initiatives on key issues for Italy and the EU, including climate change and energy supply, sustainable infrastructure, digitalization and innovation.
