  • On 27 March 2024, the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) approved the appointment of Tomasz Bardziłowski as President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW)
  • The decision to appoint Tomasz Bardziłowski as President of the GPW Management Board was taken by GPW's Extraordinary General Meeting on 5 February 2024
  • On 29 March 2024, the proxy of the GPW General Meeting, attorney Tomasz Walkiewicz, received, on behalf of the Company, the KNF's decision announcing the approval of the changes to the Exchange Management Board. Consequently, as of today, Tomasz Bardziłowski formally takes the position of President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange

The Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF), at its meeting on 27 March 2024, unanimously approved the appointment of Tomasz Bardziłowski as President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW). Having received the required approval from the Polish Financial Supervision Authority, Tomasz Bardziłowski is taking the position of President of the GPW Management Board. The decision took effect on 29 March 2024 on the date of delivery to the Company of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority's decision approving the change in the composition of the Exchange Management Board.

The resolution appointing Tomasz Bardziłowski as President of the GPW Management Board was adopted by GPW's Extraordinary General Meeting on 5 February 2024. The decision was taken by a majority vote at the request of the State Treasury, a shareholder representing 35.01 percent of the Company's share capital.

Tomasz Bardziłowski graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Banking from the Warsaw School of Economics and earned a Master's degree in International Finance from the University of Amsterdam. He completed his doctoral studies at Kozminski University, the Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School, and the Program for Leadership Development at Harvard Business School. He also studied at Staffordshire University Business School in the UK and at Wirtschaftsuniversität in Vienna.

He started his professional career in 1997 at ABN AMRO brokerage house in Warsaw; from 1998 to 2003 he worked at Credit Suisse First Boston as a Polish market analyst. Between 2003 and 2005, he was Head of Institutional Sales at DM BZ WBK (now Santander), and between 2005 and 2006, President of the Management Board of CAIB Securities. Between 2006 and 2010, he was Head of Emerging Europe Equity Research and Head of CEE Equities at UniCredit CAIB. From 2010 to 2012, he was Managing Director and Head of the Polish branch of Credit Suisse Securities. From 2012 to 2018, he was Management Board Member and Head of the Public Market Department of Vestor Dom Maklerski (formerly DI Investors). From February 2019, he was Managing Director in the Capital Markets Department and Advisor to the Management Board at IPOPEMA Securities. From 2014 to 2016, he was a capital markets expert at the Civil Development Forum Foundation (FOR).

Tomasz Bardziłowski won multiple awards as the best analyst for the CEE market, among others in the Institutional Investors ranking. He was recognised as "Analyst of the Year" in the Parkiet newspaper's poll in 2005 and as the best stock market strategist in the same poll in 2006. He is a stockbroker (licence number 2110) and holds the title of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), which he obtained in 2000.
