DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene released the following statement celebrating the beginning of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month:

"This month, we recognize the lasting contributions that Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders (AANHPIs) have made to American society and history. AANHPI communities play a pivotal role in our fight for civil rights and economic opportunity - defending access to the ballot box, protecting reproductive freedoms, and running small businesses that are the backbone of our economy.

"House Democrats remain committed to advancing and supporting the legacy, culture, and diversity of AANHPI communities, building upon the Biden-Harris administration's own commitments. Democrats in the majority have made historic investments that lowered prescription drug costs for hundreds of thousands of AANHPI Medicare recipients and have passed legislation to make AANHPI communities more safe.

"This AANHPI Heritage Month, let's recommit to fighting for AANHPI communities, confronting anti-Asian violence and discrimination in all its forms, and advancing equity and opportunity for all."
