Multiple Firearms Recovered Following a Search Warrant in Dorchester

At about 6:00 AM, on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, members of the Youth Violence Strike Force assisted Massachusetts State Police, Taunton Police, and the ATF in conducting a search warrant.

Officers were assisting these departments as part of on ongoing investigation and execution of a search warrant in the area of 26 Lorne Street. As a result of the search warrant, Massachusetts State Police recovered three firearms, with one being equipped with a machine gun switch. These firearms were seized as part of their investigation.

Officers also recovered a fourth firearm which was later determined to be a Ghost Gun with ten rounds in the magazine. The suspect, Cornell Brown, 38, of Dorchester, was placed under arrest and charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
