STATEMENT FROM HUD SECRETARY MARCIA L. FUDGE ON THE BIDEN-HARRIS ADMINISTRATION'S FIRST-EVER U.S. NATIONAL STRATEGY TO COUNTER ANTISEMITISM

WASHINGTON - Today, Marcia L. Fudge, the 18th Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) issued the following statement in support of the Biden-Harris Administration's first-ever U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism:

"Over the past few years, there has been an alarming increase in antisemitic incidents in the United States, from college campuses to the workplace. Any type of discrimination, including antisemitism, has no place in our society or in our nation's housing system."

"At HUD, we are proud to be a partner in the Biden-Harris Administration's first-ever National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, which addresses this prevalent, dangerous form of hatred with the seriousness it requires. Informed by over 1,000 stakeholders from nearly every sector, the Strategy will educate Americans, strengthen safety and security for Jewish communities, reverse the systemic normalization of antisemitism, and build cross-community solidarity."

"HUD is honored to play a role in implementing this National Strategy and rooting out antisemitism so we can build safer, stronger, and more inclusive communities for all."
