Council launches Celebrating Difference campaign

The campaign is the result of the Council's first Multicultural Plan, endorsed in 2023.

Albury Mayor, Kylie King, said both Councillors and AlburyCity employees identified a need to create opportunities to discuss racism in a safe community environment.

"We're proud to launch a campaign that celebrates our diverse multicultural community as a large and important part of what makes Albury such a great place to live, work and play," she said.

"With this week being Harmony Week, it seemed like the perfect time to launch the campaign."

The Council has worked with local marketing firm Big Agency to deliver the campaign, which consists of television commercials, city banners across Dean St and flags to be flown during significant dates, such as Harmony Week.

The campaign also includes diversity messaging on bus shelters at QEII Square and Sackville Avenue (next to the NSW TAFE), both of which are highly used by the community.
