ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: Southfield Freeway work between Ford Rd and Outer Dr starts April 29

Beginning Monday, April 29, the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will begin work on Southfield Freeway (M-39), which will affect Dearborn drivers between Ford Rd and Outer Dr.

MDOT will perform necessary construction projects for the roadway, including concrete cold milling and asphalt resurfacing, concrete pavement repairs, drainage structure cover adjustments, and pavement markings.

Scheduled work will take place mostly during day and evening hours, and is expected to be completed in mid-October 2024.
