Atlanta, GA - The Georgia Department of Agriculture (GDA) and the Georgia Animal Care & Control Association (GACCA) invite you to an animal decontamination training event on Friday, March 1st, 2024, 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This event aims to educate interested jurisdictions on the essential requirements for establishing emergency shelters during flooding events.

What:
The GDA, GACCA, state and national NGO partners will host an animal decontamination and disaster animal shelter training event featuring live demonstrations with ten dogs from the Humane Society of Greater Savannah. Attendees will conduct operations and have the opportunity to explore a dedicated animal decontamination supply trailer to better understand setup requirements for local jurisdictions.
