Rolls-Royce is delighted to welcome Air Algérie's decision to introduce seven Rolls-Royce-powered Airbus wide-body aircraft to their growing fleet.

Air Algérie has signed agreements with Airbus to take five A330-900s and two A350-1000s powered by the Trent 7000 and Trent XWB-97s as part of the airline's bold expansion and growth strategy.

The Airbus A330-900 is exclusively powered by the Trent 7000, the latest addition to the Rolls-Royce Trent family of engines.

After entering into service in early 2019, the Trent 7000 has flown more than one million hours, delivering exceptional reliability, sustainable performance, and proven versatility. The Airbus A350 is also exclusively powered by Rolls-Royce; the Trent XWB is the world's most efficient large aero engine in service and its performance to date is unprecedented.

The Trent 7000 and Trent XWB-97 will support Air Algérie's ambitious growth plans by providing availability, reliability and efficiency to its fleet as the airline takes longer-range routes. Both types of engines go further on less fuel and offer leading performance and noise level reductions. They can also operate on a 50 per cent Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) blend.
