Celebrating Pride Month

In June, we're excited to celebrate diversity and promote equality for all individuals regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, and expression. Here are a few ways we plan to celebrate Pride Month across the MillerKnoll collective:

Our MillerKnoll LGBTQIA+ Business Resource Group is hosting 30+ Pride events in our global spaces. With support from MillerKnoll Foundation, the events will bring together our global partners and community members to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and raise funds for nonprofits in local markets. Events will take place in showrooms and offices in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, London, Los Angeles, Michigan, Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, San Antonio, Seattle, St. Louis, Toronto, Vancouver, and Washington D.C. as well as in the U.K. and Italy.

MillerKnoll Foundation is sponsoring three Pride events in our HQ state of Michigan:

• Muskegon Pride Festival (June 3; 11am-7pm) hosted by Muskegon's LGTBQIA2S+ non-profit Pride organization, which seeks to promote tolerance and acceptance throughout the Muskegon County community and provide a safe, non-judgmental network of support and resources for LGBTQIA+ individuals who share a common vision of social equality.
  
• Grand Rapids Pride Festival (June 17; 12-10pm) hosted by the Grand Rapids Pride Center for its 35^th year to create a safe, open, and inclusive environment for Grand Rapids community members to celebrate who they are.
  
• Holland Pride Festival(June 24; 11am to 6pm) hosted by Out on the Lakeshore for its 20^th year featuring music, dancing, games, food trucks, and much more.

Design Within Reach is proudly displaying a special edition Pride Float Sofa designed by Sara Ellison in the windows of two DWR Studios in Miami and West Hollywood. The window installations will also feature floral displays by Maurice Harris, a Los Angeles-based artist who is best known as the visionary behind Bloom & Plume. Following Pride month, the two sofas will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to OutRight Action International.

Continuing our support of OutRight Action International, our Herman Miller brand is offering Pride Eames Hang-It-Alls through a sweepstakes on @hermanmiller Instagram in June. Beyond June, Herman Miller and MillerKnoll Foundation will continue to invest in OutRight Action International to accelerate LGBTQIA+ equality and inclusion globally.
