Colquitt Co. Road Closures Announced for SR 133 Widening


DOERUN - The contractor widening a portion of State Route (SR) 133 in Colquitt County has announced two road closures.

Swift Canteen Road has closed where it connects to the northbound lanes of SR 133. On Thursday, Dec. 14, Old Doerun Road will close where it connects with the northbound lanes of SR 133. Motorists are directed to use Old Albany Road as a detour while both closures are active.

The closures will allow the contractor to tie the roads into new SR 133 northbound lanes. This will not affect roads that connect to the southbound SR 133 lanes. This section of SR 133 under construction runs from south of US 319/SR 35 to Mike Horne Road. It is about 65% complete.
