Head of PFG with Hungary Meets with Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia

The Head of the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Hungary Milan Radin met today with Hungarian Ambassador to Serbia H.E. Jozsef Magyar.

At the beginning of the meeting, Radin congratulated the Ambassador on assuming this position, expressing his belief that the cooperation between the two countries, which has reached a historical high, will continue on its upward trajectory.

Radin and Magyar agreed that parliamentary diplomacy is extremely important, especially for two close countries such as Serbia and Hungary. The Ambassador said that the strategic cooperation between the two countries' governments and presidents should be strengthened by parliamentary contacts. Radin agreed that the exchange of opinions and experiences between parliamentarians is of particular importance and that the Serbian and Hungarian respective national assemblies can cooperate, not only through their parliamentary friendship groups and committees, but through international parliamentary organisations and initiatives as well. He stressed that the Parliamentary Friendship Group with Hungary is one of the largest in the National Assembly, which is a clear indicator of the civic representatives' readiness for close cooperation with Hungary.

The officials also discussed the options for further meetings, expanding trade exchange, joint projects, such as railway modernisation and energy security, as well as the possibilities for better infrastructural connection between the countries.
