Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region liquidate consequences of a hurricane in the regions of the Central and Volga Federal Districts

Power engineers are restoring energy supply to residents of regions that have suffered from a thunderstorm with hurricane winds up to 25 metres per second and tornadoes. Abnormal weather conditions provoked breaks and clasps of wires, falling out of trees from outside security zones on power lines.

The employees of the power grid companies were mobilized in advance and ready for the disaster. Now in 9 regions of the service area of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region there is a high alert operation mode. In total, 907 crews of 4,173 people and 1,697 vehicles were involved in the emergency recovery work.

The territories most affected by the disaster were the Andreapolsky, Ostashkovsky and Toropetsky districts of the Tver region. 103 crews of 418 people and 121 vehicles are currently working on the territory of the region. Also, by decision of the Headquarters of the energy companies, additional forces and assets from other branches were sent to the region.

The employees of Rosseti Centre and Rosseti Center and Volga Region will work around the clock until the power supply to residents of the affected regions is fully restored.
