News: Publication of the revised GDP and clarification of the release date of information on the deficit and debt of the Slovak Republic for 2023

The Statistical Office of the SR will publish data on deficit and debt for the year 2023, including a data update for the years 2020 to 2022, on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 9 a.m. on the Office's portal www.statistics.sk. The date has been clarified due to the need to pre-release the revised GDP values resulting from the planned revision of the national accounts according to the 2024 Revision Calendar. The updated values on the performance of the economy are the input data for calculating the percentage share of the deficit and debt from the volume of GDP.

In this way, the Office is responding to the request of Eurostat and the EC that comprehensive revised data on GDP should be available at the time of publication of the deficit and debt.

The Office will publish the revised GDP today, Friday, April 19, after 9 a.m. in the relevant data cubes in the Office´s public database DATAcube. in the section 2. Macroeconomic statistics /2.1. National accounts v podrobných štruktúrach.

The Statistical Office of the SR also issues an informative report on the impact of the revision on GDP values ​​published in the previous period.
