INNG Volunteer Opportunity With Survivor Outreach Services: The Gold Mile

The Gold Mile is fast approaching on May 4th, and Indiana Survivor Outreach Services are in need of a few volunteers to work The Gold Mile booth at the Mini Marathon packet pick-up on Thursday May 2 and Friday May 3 at the Indiana Convention Center.



What is the Gold Mile? This motivational segment features volunteers and the families of our Indiana Fallen Heroes holding patriotic décor, pictures, banners, messages, and sentimental items while offering participants encouragement at their toughest part of the Indy Mini Marathon (6th mile).



Duties: As a volunteer in the booth you will explain what the Gold Mile is and pass out the pre-printed Hero's bibs with names of Indiana's Fallen Heroes.

Expo hours:
Thursday, May 1st, 4pm-8pm
Friday, May 2nd, 10am-8pm
*You can sign up for as many hours as you can volunteer (ex; 2hrs, 4hrs, etc within the time slots)



There is shuttle parking at Gate Ten parking (a pass will be sent at a later date). The shuttle will start running as soon as the first person arrives to the Gate Ten lot and then will run every 15 minutes until an hour after the Expo hours.
