Have you heard the most recent update? The My Fort Worth (MyFW) App team announced a significant update for its MyFW App and website: both platforms are now available in Spanish. This enhancement is designed to better serve the City's diverse population, ensuring that Spanish-speaking residents can easily access vital City services.

For mobile users: Switching the MyFW App to Spanish users need to go into their device settings, select the General for iPhone users and General Management for Android users, and choose Spanish as their preferred language. This user-friendly feature allows Spanish-speaking residents to navigate the app seamlessly, accessing important services.

On the website: The process is simple. Visitors can change the language by clicking on the globe icon located in the top right corner of the MyFW Online Request homepage. This instantly translates the site, providing Spanish-speaking users with easy access to information about City services, events and more.

This update is a crucial step in making City services more inclusive and accessible. The City of Fort Worth recognizes the importance of serving its diverse community and ensuring that all residents, regardless of their primary language, can fully engage with and benefit from City resources.

In addition to this update, the City has marked a milestone in making city services more accessible with the addition of the 311 number. Now, residents can dial 311 or the 10-digit number, 817-392-1234, to reach City services. This nonemergency line is free of charge and can be dialed from a wireless device within Fort Worth city limits.

Sharon Gamble, the City's customer service administrator, expressed enthusiasm about this development. "We are excited to offer another shorter path to call for City services. Dial 311 when in the city limits from your cell phone to reach our Contact Center."

Supporting 25 departments and 48 divisions, MyFW is committed to maintaining active engagement with City stakeholders and enhancing service quality. The implementation of new technological platforms, including the MyFW App and text service, alongside traditional web methods, has streamlined operations and improved resident satisfaction.

This expansion to include Spanish language options will be a huge benefit to the Spanish-speaking community in Fort Worth, providing them with easier access to essential City services and information. The City's efforts demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusivity and improved communication for all residents.
