Free Basic Community Emergency Response Training: CERT Fontana

Are you prepared for local emergencies and disasters? Learn the steps to prepare BEFORE a disaster and what to do AFTER a disaster for FREE!

During a major disaster, emergency services may be overwhelmed. CERT is a nationwide, FEMA supported, grass roots effort to help citizens prepare for disasters.

Join us and learn:

• How to safely care for yourself, your family and neighbors until help arrives
• Preparedness for you and your family
• Fire extinguisher use
• First Aid in a disaster
• How to safely conduct light search and rescue
• How to use the Incident Command System (ICS)
• Psychological needs following a disaster

Attendees will receive a CERT vest, backpack, PPE. Upon graduation, you will have a new skill set and may be presented with opportunities to assist with department emergencies and police & fire department events in the city of Fontana.
