On January 23, 2021 at 5:32 pm, Virginia Beach Emergency Communications received a report that someone had been shot in the 900 block of Atlantis Drive.

Officers responded to the scene and located an adult male suffering from a life-threatening injury from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital by EMS.

The preliminary investigation provided detectives with information that led them to detain 2 individuals, they were both transported to police headquarters for questioning.

This investigation is still evolving, no further details are available at this time.
