KIMBALL, MN - Today, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) will attend the dedication of the Minnesota Army National Guard Fallen Soldiers Memorial in Kimball, Minnesota.
The memorial will honor James Rogers, Charles Nord, and Kort Plantenberg, who died on Dec. 5, 2019, during a routine maintenance test flight. The Soldiers were members of Charlie Company, 2-211th General Support Aviation Brigade, an air ambulance company headquartered in St. Cloud.
Klobuchar will join Maj. Gen. Shawn Manke, Minnesota National Guard Adjutant General, who will present Helen and Larry Krippner, owners of the field where the helicopter crashed, with a Public Service Commendation Medal. The ceremony will take place at 1:00 pm CT at 18565 County Road 48, Kimball, MN 55353.
