Fry Street Fair Road Closures and Detour Information

Denton, TX- April 23, 2024 - For the first time since 2007, TheFry Street Fair returns to Denton on April 27 and 28. In conjunction with the event, parking restrictions and road closures with detours will be in place around the festival area.

The following street closures and detours will be in effect from 4:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, to 6:00 a.m. on Monday, April 29.

Closure Details:

  • - Hickory Streetbetween N Avenue B and FryStreet will be closed to all vehiculartraffic.

  • - Fry Street between W Oak Street and W Hickory Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

  • - Avenue A between W Hickory Street and W Mulberry Street will be closed to all vehiculartraffic.

  • - W Mulberry Street between Avenue A and S Welch Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

Detour Routes:

  • - Traffic on Hickory Street will be redirected via Avenue C and N Avenue B.

  • - Detour signs and instructions will be posted prominently with electronic signage along the affected routes.

All street closures and listed times are subject to change based on evolving or unexpected conditions. The public should adhere to posted parking restrictionsand utilizedesignated public parking locations or ride share services.

Due to an increased pedestrian presence, motorists could encounterdelays in the vicinity of the event and may wish to consider alternative routes. Businesses locatedwithin the footprint of the event will remain open per their normal business hours.
