Second Edition of B4B: Blockchain Innovation and Education in Lugano

The second edition of "Blockchain for Business" (B4B), a training course on blockchain technology, launched on Tuesday, 24 April 2024 at the Executive Centre of Università della Svizzera italiana. The course is aimed at professionals who want to explore the possibilities and impact of this technology in their business sectors. The event was inaugurated in the presence of the Mayor of Lugano, Michele Foletti, and the Municipal Secretary, Robert Bregy.

The programme is promoted by the City of Lugano and organised in collaboration with Università della Svizzera italiana (USI), the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI) and Franklin University Switzerland (FUS).

This year's edition of the itinerant course, a collaborative effort between USI, SUPSI, and FUS, has once again sparked significant interest, mirroring the success of the previous year. The first day of the course saw participation from sectors such as finance, real estate, consulting, legal, public administration, etc. The lectures on the first day were given respectively by Edoardo Beretta, a USI full professor and FUS aggregate, Giacomo Zucco, a Bitcoin disseminator and consultant, and Giuliano Gremlich, a SUPSI researcher.

The next stage of the training course will be held on 15 May 2024 at the USI/SUPSI East Campus.
