The Eighth China International Food and Ingredients Expo (CIFIE) and the Second China International Pre-made Food Industry Expo (CIPFIE) were held in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, on Apr. 12. This year's CIFIE and CIPFIE were hosted by the Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of MARA and showcased cutting-edge achievements in the global and domestic agri-food sectors. More than 1,500 companies from over 20 countries and regions worldwide and 31 provinces, autonomous regions, or municipalities in China participated in the expos, which attracted over 5,000 professional buyers.

The representatives discussed prospects for global agri-food trade, and ways to achieve mutually beneficial cooperation. The dialogue aimed to promote high-quality development of the global agri-food sectors and contribute to global food security and agricultural modernization. Around 30 themed events were held during the expos, including a seminar on international agri-trade rules, a culinary competition, and a promotion conference for international high-quality agri-trade development bases.
