Skopje, 28.12.2022 - OKTA once again made happy the children from the primary schools located near the company's headquarters in the Municipality of Ilinden. All pupils from the first to the ninth grade in the central municipal elementary school "Braka Miladinovci" in Miladinovci and in the regional schools in the villages of Mrshevci and Tekia received New Year's packages, donated by OKTA.
"The children's smiles and joy are the most precious and beautiful image for the New Year holidays. We will be happy if this donation brightens up the holidays of the children from our neighborhood and makes them happier," said Maria Stavreva, Manager of Corporate social responsibility and communications in OKTA, when handing over the packages.
The central and the two regional schools "Braka Miladinovci" have a total of 365 children from six villages of the Municipality of Ilinden, including children from socially disadvantaged families. The New Year's packages were awarded to them during the New Year's party, which is traditionally organized in the premises of the central school.
"The children already know and look forward to receive the gifts from OKTA. We thank tо OKTA's team, that this year again showed what it means to be a good neighbor and enriched the New Year's magic to our children", said the Director of the school, Marija Zoksimovska.
Supporting education and youth is one of the main pillars of OKTA's social responsibility strategy. In addition to the donation of New Year's packages, the company donated 30 laptop computers and 10,000 masks, in order to assist the uninterrupted education in the primary schools within the territory of Municipality of Ilinden, during the pandemic.
