Dechert Represents Betches Media in Sale to LBG Media

Dechert advised Betches Media, LLC, a women-founded US-based media brand specializing in digital media content production and publication for women, in its sale to LBG Media, owner of the LADbible Group.

Betches was founded in New York in 2011 by three female co-founders and focuses on an audience of millennial and Gen Z women. The company boasts approximately 32 million followers and offers a unique perspective through various channels, including social media, branded partnerships, live events, merchandise, podcasts and newsletters.

LBG Media is a global, multi-brand, multi-channel digital youth publisher and a leading disrupter in the digital media and social publishing sectors.

The purchase price was US$24 million in cash consideration at closing, and the founders may earn up to an additional US$30 million in purchase price, payable in installments, contingent upon Betches meeting specific revenue and profitability targets through 2026. While Betches will continue as a standalone business, it will collaborate with LBG Media's U.S. team to cultivate larger direct brand partnership opportunities across both LBG Media and Betches brands and audiences.

The Dechert team advising Betches included corporate partner Allie Wasserman and associates Ranjini Ramesh, Nathalie Noura and Kristen Renberg; employee benefits partner Howard Klein and associate Sarah Burke; privacy and cybersecurity associate Hillary Bonaccorsi; labor partner Ian Downes and associate Tanya Warnke; and IP associate Spencer Joffrion.
