First 2024 TUI Flight to Majorca Jets Off From Teesside

One of the UK's biggest holiday firms has seen its first flight to Majorca jet off from Teesside for the 2024 summer season.

The busy TUI flight jetted off to Palma on Tuesday (7 May) marking the operator's first package holiday trip to the king of the Balearic Islands of the year.

The service to the isle, famed for its golden sands, waterfront villages and exciting nightlife, will run every Tuesday and Saturday with TUI through the summer.

The summer TUI link will also give people access to a raft of Marella Cruises itineraries sailing from the port of Palma, including Treasures of the Mediterranean, Highlights of the Mediterranean, and Magic of Spain.

Meanwhile, Ryanair's summer Palma service continues on Thursday evening (9 May) with flights on the airline bookable every Thursday and Sunday through to mid-October.

Tees Valley Mayor Ben Houchen said: "It's been a great start to 2024 at Teesside and it's fantastic to see holidaymakers from near and far backing us and filling our terminal.

"TUI have committed to our airport with Dalaman restored to its rightful place on our departure screens this summer, and Ryanair are continuing to back us with more flights jetting off to Palma this week.

"It's the support of people from Teesside, Darlington and Hartlepool and the investments we've made in making journeys as smooth as possible which keep our airport offering great getaways for holidaymakers.

"But the hard work doesn't stop - and we're working hard to ensure we secure more routes soon."

Teesside's route to Aberdeen was retained earlier this monthafter Eastern Airways was secured to operate the direct service.
