Arts and Culture Plan 'cultural cartography' event April 18

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The City of Fayetteville invites the community to participate in a "cultural cartography" exercise as part of the development of its Fayetteville Arts and Culture Plan.

The event will take place 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in the TheatreSquared Community Room, located at 477 W. Spring St.

Hosted by the Arts and Culture Division, the event will feature a cultural mapping activity, allowing participants to identify current arts and culture assets, as well as areas for improvement and needed resources. This collaborative effort aims to gather community insights to shape the Arts and Culture Plan, ensuring it meets Fayetteville's needs and aspirations.

The plan will be a 10-year blueprint for creating a vibrant, sustainable arts-and-culture ecosystem that celebrates Fayetteville's diversity and creativity.

This initiative continues the community conversation started in March, seeking to incorporate diverse perspectives into the Arts and Culture Plan. The engagement phase will extend into the summer.
