New Town Post Office now open in Tourist Information Centre!

Following the closure of the COOP's Post Office at Market Street earlier this month, Guernsey Post has relocated and extended its existing Post Office counter within the Tourist Information Centre to better serve customers.

Cassy Fish, Head of Commercial at Guernsey Post said "We are delighted with the new arrangement, and we have worked closely with the team at Tourist Information to really make the most of the space we are sharing for our Town Post Office. The full suite of postal services is available, including bill payments, and we are really looking forward to serving our customers from here."

The Company is also changing the arrangements for ordering foreign currency from that branch. All foreign currency orders will now need to be made via telephone or online, customers will then have the choice to collect the orders from the Town Post Office, Envoy House, or selected branches across the Island. Alternatively, customers may also wish to take advantage of our free home delivery service. Currency orders over the counter will still be available from our L'islet, Forest, and St Peters Post Office branches until the end of May. There is no change to the ordering of currency at Envoy House.

Boley Smillie, Chief Executive of Guernsey Post said "Modifying the sale of foreign currency across all our branches allows us to centralise our compliance and our increasing regulatory responsibilities within this sector. Our BATIF team have been based at Envoy House for some time now and all online and telephone orders for our local customers are fulfilled from there. You can order currency by telephone or online and arrange collection of your currency order from a select number of branches, including the Post Office at the Tourist Information Centre, and we also offer free home delivery."
