Mayor Bowser to Attend Metropolitan Police Department’s Active Bystander for Law Enforcement Training Demonstration

(Washington, DC) - On Monday, October 18, at 12 pm, Mayor Muriel Bowser and Chief Robert J. Contee, III of the Metropolitan Police Department, will hold a press conference to highlight the Metropolitan Police Department's Active Bystander for Law Enforcement (ABLE) training.

The training prepares officers to successfully intervene to prevent harm and to create a law enforcement culture that supports peer intervention.
