Island Offshore – Island Constructor – audit follow-up

The audit was conducted on 22 February 2024.

Objective

The objective of the audit was to verify that non-conformities identified in an 2021 audit of Island Offshore's management of the working environment have been addressed in compliance with the regulatory requirements.

Result

The non-conformities from the audit in 2021 revealed extensive deficiencies in the management of working environment risk on board Island Constructor. Following the audit, Island Offshore implemented several working environment measures and activities at different levels. This means that the basis for the proper management of the working environment has been improved, and some of the non-conformities from our 2021 report have been addressed in line with regulatory requirements.

In this audit, we detected five non-conformities concerning:

  • Noise
  • Lighting
  • Internal requirements and risk assessments for the prevention of musculoskeletal disorders
  • Respiratory protection
  • Joint, local working environment committee (FS-AMU)

What happens now?

We have asked Island Offshore to supply by 25 April 2024 a report on how the non-conformities will be addressed.
