Today is Military Spouse Appreciation Day

Today is Military Spouse Appreciation Day and I want to take a moment to recognize and celebrate the spouses of all of our military families for their personal sacrifices.

My wife, Brianna, was aware of the risks when I deployed to Afghanistan as a bomb technician. She knew that I might not come back. She not only inspired me, but also held down the homefront while I was away. She was my rock when I was injured and continues to support and inspire our family every day.

But even though my story is special, it's not unique. For every servicemember shipping overseas there is a spouse praying for their safe return.

Today, we honor them. Their selfless support and love makes the sacrifice of serving your country a little bit easier.
