Bangor International Airport to Hold Emergency Exercise

Bangor, ME - On Tuesday, May 7, 2024, Bangor International Airport, along with numerous local emergency and law enforcement agencies, will be conducting a Full Scale Emergency Exercise as required by the Federal Aviation Administration.

This exercise is scheduled to take place at the airport from 8 AM- 1 PM. Due to the ongoing Runway Rehabilitation Project there are no scheduled flights that day, but members of the public in the area may see emergency vehicles and airport personnel participating in the training scenario.

These training exercises are required to be conducted in a manner that provides the most realistic atmosphere possible in an effort to truly test our capabilities and train personnel on how to react in airport-specific emergency situations.

We would like to thank all local and state emergency response and law enforcement agencies for their cooperation and participation.

Please note: Media wishing to cover this event must make arrangements with BGR's Marketing team no later than NOON on Monday 5/6 by contacting Aimee Thibodeau at [email protected] or 207.992.4610 or 207.949.3950.
