Bietigheim-Bissingen, February 3, 2021 - Dürr AG donates € 25,000 to the town of Bietigheim-Bissingen for the purchase of tablets for high schools. The company is thus helping to enable students who do not have their own digital devices to participate in remote learning during the Coronavirus pandemic.
'In the interest of equal opportunities, it is very important to us that young people are not disadvantaged or cut off from education despite lockdown or quarantine rules', says Dr. Jochen Weyrauch, Deputy CEO of Dürr AG. He also observes that the cause is a very good fit for the company: 'We are improving the schools' urgently required digital equipment. In a similar way, we drive the digitalization of our customers' production processes through our innovations.'
Dürr - the town's largest employer - has been making donations for years to support social, cultural, sporting and scientific activities within the region. The company is continuing this social commitment in 2021.
